THE IMPACT
Tristan hit rock bottom, and no one felt the impact harder than Danika. She was forced to see, in the most brutal of ways, that love does not conquer all. Bruised, bloody, and broken she had to walk away.
THE AFTERMATH
Picking up the pieces of your life after a tragedy is a daunting prospect, and that’s considering you still own all of the pieces. But what if you don’t? What if someone else owns those pieces, and those pieces are a part of your soul?
You dig deep and work with what you’ve got.
That’s what Danika told herself and believed, every single day, for years.
Tristan and Danika’s love had failed every test that life had thrown at them. She couldn’t forget that, not for one second. And if those tests had been overly harsh, well, she wasn’t one to wallow in self-pity. The failure was the thing she had to focus on. The failure was the lesson. She had no intention of working so hard to make it out of hell without learning that lesson well.
THE REUNION
Over six years after the night that changed everything, Danika finds herself forced to spend the weekend constantly in Tristan’s company, as they attend the wedding of two of their dearest friends. It’s been long enough that she feels they can be friendly again without it destroying her peace of mind, but just a small amount of time in his presence has her remembering something she had forced herself to forget: There’d been a reason she’d gone through hell with this man, for this man, some true good to precede the bad.
She shocks herself by quickly giving in to a hunger that she never imagined could still consume her.
Even the best intentioned denial has a breaking point.
THE HARSH REALITY
After everything that’s happened, the rise and the fall, the pain and the aftermath, can these two navigate the waters of acute regret, survive the trials of coming face to face with all that they have lost, and find the strength to try again?
This book is intended for readers 18 and up.

The second book, Rock Bottom, well...left us on rock bottom reeling from all the drama, hurt and pain that Danika and Tristan went through. But...there has to be hope that somehow, someway these two can find their way back...and to each other. This is the final chapter in Tristan and Danika's journey. I feel like I've been waiting forever for it but I was so hesitant to read it and for it be done, over, finite. Of course, there was no way I could hold back and thank goodness, I didn't. It was4.25 Second Chance Stars He'd set me adrift, so very long ago, and I had wandered into deepest waters, with depths far too vast for me to navigate alone. And here he was, swimming out to save me. Had he been following me all the while? Had I been so blind? What a perfect conclusion to the trilogy. It was emotional, angsty, erotic, everything you would want in a book. I waited until book 3 was out to read the 2nd and ended up reading them back to back. In Lovely Trigger we find Danika slowly
I read this series in one sitting. To say my brain is oozing out my ears from the roller coaster ride I just got off of would be an understatement. Many issues I reference are being put under the spoiler tag since I am dealing with specifics. Do not read if you haven't read this book.(view spoiler)[When I finished book two I was convinced Tristan and Danika were very toxic together. The traumatic experiences they went through weren't handled well by either of them. Tristan was in self destruct

**** FULL REVIEW NOW POSTED ****What a beautiful ending to Tristan & Danika's story!!If you love second chance romance, this is a must-read series! In this final instalment of the Tristan & Danika trilogy, R.K. Lilley truly brought this love story full circle. From the first time I met Tristan and Danika's characters in the Up In The Air trilogy, I've loved them and been intrigued by their story. What could have happened to make two people who so clearly loved each other become so
4.5 Stars! This is the final book in Tristan and Danika's love story. In the start of this book, we get a recap on what has been going on in Tristan and Danika's lives over the last six years. Tristan has finally decided he has waited around long enough for Danika and he wants to be in her life again, even if they can only be friends. They have so many past hurts that they may never be able to truly be together but Tristan is clean and sober now and he wants a chance to prove that he is better
4 ½ - Contemporary/Erotic RomanceTristan is one of the most repentant, fully redeemed romance heroes Ive ever read. He was absolutely swoonalicious and husband-worthy in this! The ending was utter perfection and had me sobbing. A very painful, rough, broken road for these two but such a beautiful, hard-fought HEA. Loved it!
4.5 long way home stars! You don't need to follow every impulse in life; you don't need to take on every gamble. But some, even ones that have burned you before, well some of them you do. Some of the sweetest moments in life come from second chances. For Danika and Tristan neither horrific tragedy or long time spans apart could break the inherent love and passion they had for one another. Can one truly ever get forgiveness if they cannot find it within themselves?Tristan literally hit his rock
