This book wasn't quite what I was hoping for, but I am still a fan of the series. The Medusa Plot had a more somber tone than previous ones. In the other books Dan and Nellie often added comic relief. Not so in this one. This time, the author brings out a darker side to Dan. I didn't like that Dan and Amy were made to steal and do other things to break the law in this book. In the original series, when they took things, they were items that belonged to their family.
